  • Enjoying Life: From Cape Cod to the Open Waters

As a kid growing up on the shores of Cape Cod, my days were filled with saltwater and sunsets.

I spent summers on my father's Bertram Sportfish named Beats Workin'. From a young age I spent time working at a marina fuel dock, where the scent of diesel fuel combined with the promise of adventure. Cleaning boats became my daily ritual—the scrubbing, the polishing, and the anticipation of what lay beyond the harbor. And my reward was the sun, fun, and adventure of the open water with my family.

This was the good life. And from a young age I realized that life was made to be enjoyed. And thus, my passion was born.

  • Beats Workin' represented a way of life.

Boats have souls. They carry stories in their hulls, etched by wind and tide. They create stories from those on sailed on them. And oh, the names! Each vessel shows the spirit and character of it's owner through its moniker—some whimsical, some poetic, and some are downright clever. But among them all, one name stood out like a beacon: Beats Workin’. This was the slogan of our family boat.

But Beats Workin’ wasn’t just a boat name; it was a state of mind that our lived by. A simple phrase, but it captured the essence of lazy afternoons, salt spray on our skin, and the thrill of casting lines. When the sun dipped low, and the water turned gold, we’d lean back, feet propped up, and say, “Man, this sure Beats Workin’.”

And this became a passion not just on the water, not just in the summer, but everyday. It became my passion from a young age, to stop and enjoy life with those I cared about. And this passion became the inspiration for the brand. It is how we spread it to all those who share our passion of sun, fun, and the pursuit of enjoying life. And it is how we spread it to those who need more sun, fun, and enjoyment in their life!

So if you are passionate about enjoying life join the Beats Workin' community on social and spread the word!
